How to get to Malapascua Island in the Philippines and what to do on a budget!

Our first stop on our journey in the Philippines was to head out of Lapu Lapu and make our way to the beautiful island of Malapascua in Cebu region. To get to Malapascua is a bit tricky from Cebu City. You must take a very long bus ride and a few taxi rides or a very expensive Grab or private taxi ride for 4-5 hours. After an extremely few stressful days of traveling and some bumps in the road, we decided to suck it up and pay the 50 US dollars for the private taxi ride. After learning a bit more about Cebu and the Filipinos we learned how safe and cheap the buses were. Island Hopping from Cebu to Bohol, Philippines

After spending awhile in Oslob, Cebu we decided that since we were so close, we might as well take a two-hour ferry ride and island hop to Bohol Island! After many five-hour plus bus rides across Cebu, two hours on a boat in the beautiful ocean didn’t sound too bad at all. We left early in the morning and arrived by the afternoon. We booked an adorable apartment on Panglao in Bohol, lucky for us we got upgraded to a high-end suite instead of a studio apartment because of an over booking issue the apartment complex had! Score!!!
